Conductor Peter Shannon has spent more than two decades building orchestras, audiences and artistic organisations on both sides of the Atlantic.

He is the only Irish conductor to have simultaneously held Artistic Director and Conductor positions with two major American orchestras, serving 12 seasons with the Savannah Philharmonic (2007–2019) and 10 seasons with The Jackson Symphony, TN (2014–2025) after what has been described as 'a Decade of Musical Excellence'.

Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an exceptional ability to align creative direction with shared organizational goals. His impact is immediate, consistent, and lasting; driving rapid expansion and sustained success for every orchestra he leads.
